Moxie J has already won the 2011 PCYC Mermaid Regatta

Craig Rastello, coach for the J-Peas women’s team, was interested in owning a J24 once again. Susan Jackson, J-Peas skipper in women’s races, always wanting to learn more and do more, decided to purchase a J24. Following the theory that more racing equals more fun, the two decided to team up and purchase a J24 in May 2011.

Pigs Fly Too, owned and skippered by Ryan Hamm, placed 5th in Charleston Race Week 2011. A terrific boat with a fast bottom and great sails, but an awful name, Pigs Fly Too became Moxie J.

Moxie J's first splash into racing was Port Canaveral Yacht Club’s Mermaid Regatta June 2011.  ~Susan Jackson~

The boat was most recently campaigned in Charleston by Ryan Hamm. Ryan is involved in the Charleston one design racing scene much like Dave Noble is involved in Melbourne. Dave Noble introduced us to Ryan, and a couple of trips to Charleston resulted in bringing yet another J24 to Melbourne.
