Originally owned by Paul Lindenberg and sailed as Racer's Edge.
Sold in 1988 to Joe Merkle and Lee
Estes, and sailed out of Lake Lanier. Found a reference to a Lee Estes who won
an annual trophy in a Lindenberg 28 in 1988 from the Atlanta Inland Sailing
Club.
Actively sailed in Lake Lanier 1999-2000 by Linda Merkle.
Bought in 2003 by Dean Holcomb, and named Just Friends. Dean fixed it
up and raced it for awhile and then sold it to Jim Henry in 2005. Standard rig (whatever that means), rating 117. Dean
says it was built in 1982. Probably hull #2???
Jim Henry purchased this boat in April
2005, and renamed it Mouse. It now resides in the Melbourne area and
is part of the Melbourne fleet of L28's.

Original owner was Herb Shipp of Merritt Island. It was
raced in East Central Florida for a number of years by Herb. Herb
donated Fast Lane to Fla Institute of Technology in ??.
Sherry Beckett bought Fast Lane as a near-derelict in 2000,
renovated it, and has been racing it actively since.
Sherry Beckett sold Fast Lane to Will Garvey and Phil Scalise
in 2006. The boat is currently being helmed by Marlene Sassaman in the
ladies ECSA series. Tom Knowlton helms her in the ECSA coed series. Fast
Lane is docked at the Eau Gallie Yacht Club.

The original name
was Star Struck, and owned by Cam Bahn. At one point in the distant
past, it was sailed out of Davis Island by Al Kacin.
It was recently owned by Paul Silvernail
(masthead@mastheadsailinggear.com
), and named Masthead Madness, and
raced in the Tampa area from ____ to 2003. Steve Schultz bought the
boat in late 2003, and renamed her Star Struck. |

Gary Smith bought Five Speed in 1987, and has been racing it
very successfully in Central Florida and the Bahamas. 3-time winner of Abaco Race Week, Five Speed is well known (and feared) in the Florida racing
circles. Eric Schwab bought Fivespeed in April of
2008 and it now races out of Norfolk, VA. |

Creole Cookin'
Jim Yates & Jim Henry purchased the boat as a partnership and
named her Rookey. She is now one of the fastest Lindenberg's on the water
with a new fitting name, Bad PennyJim Yates

Originally sailed in
Louisiana. One owner, maybe not the first, was Tom Beery of
Pascagoula, MS.
Then Creole Cookin' was in the Chesapeake area. Bought by Bill
Bounds, cheap, in 2002.
Bought in early 2004 by Jim
Yates and Jim Henry and renamed 'Rookey'. Won Abaco
Race Week in B Fleet in 2004! Jim Yates bought Jim Henry's share of Rookey
in 2005. The boat remains in Satellite Beach under the new name Bad Penny.

Originally named
Zulu Warrior, and owned by Bill Coolidge in Jacksonville, FL. Paul Silvernail
thinks this became a Davis Island Yacht Club boat named Panache, and sailed by Jim Walters.
At some point, it was renamed Zulu Warrior and
moved to Annapolis. Race results from Annapolis show Zulu Warrior,
Sail #40692 was racing MORC from 1996 to 2000.
Butch Minson said it was donated around 1999 to
'Friends of St. Mary's College'
In 2003 it was bought by Kristin and Jeff Mason who
sailed for a year or so out of Patuxent, MD. As of Spring 2005, they
are in the process of moving to Maine and will race the boat there. |

Owner unknown! This seems to be an extra boat that we can't figure out
where it goes. (assuming Bang really is still in mothballs somewhere)
Owned by Dr. Jim Thompson and sailed as Crab Apple
prior to Duncan's ownership (per

Dunning). Sail number then was 73376.

Bought by Mike Royer of Massachusetts in 2000, and renamed Addiction.
Mike sold Addiction to Dave Juleff? in Bermuda in May 2001.
As of
2003,it was still named Addiction and sailing in Bermuda, with a provisional
rating of 114. The owner was Mark Cloutier.
2008 - Currently owned by Colin James of Bermuda who bought it from Mark
Cloutier.

Peregrine was built
by Chris Martin and Gary Smith at Lightwave Yachts in Rockledge, FL, after
Lindenberg Yachts ceased production.
Chris Martin sailed Peregrin in East Central Florida for about a year before
selling the boat to Steve Jones in Texas. It was raced in Texas for
awhile under the name of 'Cotton Picker'
It was sailed for a number of years in Texas as Tiburon. Jeff
Jones of Belton Tx had it until 1998.
Scott Walsh - Texas - 02/2001
Art Perez bought Tiburon in 2002 and has been very
successful in the Miami area. Andy Buys of Miami is
currently (2008) the owner of Tiburon. |
