     Organizing Authority: The organizing authority will be the Melbourne Yacht Club.

Rules: The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS 2005-2008), the prescriptions of US Sailing, except as any of these are changed by this NOR and the Sailing Instruction. In case of conflict between the Notice of Race and the Sailing Instruction the Sailing Instructions shall prevail. Boats racing as a one-design class shall conform to the rules of that class.

Advertising: Advertising is permitted in accordance with ISAF Regulation 20 and the prescriptions of the one-design class.

 Entry and Eligibility: This regatta is open to all one-design classes under 20 feet in length. The entry fee is $45.00 for single-handed boats and $55 for double-handed boats. The entry fee includes one dinner at MYC on Saturday for the skipper and one crewmember. Additional Dinner tickets may be purchased at registration for $12 per ticket.

Anticipated Classes: Sunfish, Raider, Laser, Flying Scott, monohull Portsmouth and multihull Portsmouth. Other classes may request a one-design start by contacting the regatta chairman at least 14 days prior to the regatta. A minimum of 5 boats is required for a one-design start.  If less that 5 boats are present, they must compete in the Portsmouth Class. All skippers must complete an entry form and turn it in with registration.

Launching and Sailing Area: Launching for boats using dollies will be available at Melbourne YC and Riverview Park. The county will not allow overnight parking of boats at Riverview Park. Trailer launched boats should use the Front Street Ramp. All races will be sailed in the Indian River Lagoon, south of RT 192 causeway.

Awards                                        3:00 PM (approx) at MYC

A total of 5 races are scheduled, completion of 1 race constitutes a regatta.

Sailing Instructions: Sailing Instructions will be available at registration and a copy will be posted on the Notice Board.

Courses: The courses will be included in the sailing instructions and posted on the notice board.

Scoring: Scoring shall be Low Point System as defined in Appendix A of the RRS. Rule A2 is changed so that no races will be discarded.

Awards: Trophies for 1st. 2nd and 3 place in will be awarded in each class at the conclusion of racing on Sunday.

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
